NGC2392, Eskimo Nebula

Winter Season has opened in ds-sketches.com!! It was really cold and windy outside, but it had been a while since I got a change to go sketching. So out in the cold I went. (Luckily I got warm clothes, so I did not freeze after all). What could be better winter season opener than Eskimo Nebula, so finderscope to the Gemini. First I started with 115x, but with this magnification, I did not see what I suspected. Afrer I grabbed my planetary eyepiece, things started to get interesting. NGC2392 has a very bright core and the fuzzy part was seen first with averted vision and later looking at straigt to. Because of the really bad seeing and the fact that wind was blowing and tossing the view in the eyepiece, I think I have not seen yet all that this object has to offer. See the CCD image in the site of Vesa Kankare. The field is almost the same in our portraits.
